IMETCO (Innovative Metals Company, Inc.), a leader in engineered metal building envelope systems, announced an expansion of its ICC approvals to include its roof panels. The latest ICC-ES report now encompasses the ZIP-RIB, Batten-Tite and TwinLok roof panels.

In a news release, the company said this approval is a "significant milestone for IMETCO," as the report includes key supplements for Florida and California, two regions with some of the most rigorous building code requirements in the nation. The enhancement streamlines the approval process for projects in these states, ensuring customers can meet code compliance more efficiently while maintaining access to IMETCO’s high-performance solutions.

To enhance accessibility for customers in the field, each crate of panels from IMETCO’s three manufacturing locations will now feature a label with a QR code, linking directly to the ICC report. This improvement will take effect on Jan. 1, 2025, offering convenient access to critical compliance documentation.

“Our expanded ICC approvals are a significant milestone that reflects IMETCO’s commitment to delivering high-quality, code-compliant products,” said Tarek Droubi, senior application engineer/AWB at IMETCO. “This achievement makes it easier for our customers to trust and specify our systems with complete confidence.”

IMETCO’s ICC-ES reports simplify the process for code officials to verify product compliance with building codes, facilitating faster permitting through agencies like the California Division of the State Architect (DSA), Florida Building Products, and Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). With these approvals, IMETCO remains committed to delivering trusted, code-compliant solutions for the building envelope industry.

IMETCO manufactures metal products for the building envelope, offering a comprehensive range of high-performance metal roofing, wall, and deck systems and accessories.
