Innovative Metals Company, Inc. celebrated its 30th anniversary in the final quarter of 2024; in 1994, Garland Industries, Inc. partnered with two metal roofing manufacturers to form IMETCO, which fabricates a full range of metal products for the building envelope. 

The company has expanded its operations to include manufacturing in Norcross, Ga., Sacramento, Calif., and Burlington, N.J., with offices in Norcross and Buffalo, N.Y.,, offering metal solutions like roofing, wall cladding, insulation, and deck systems.

IMETCO’s President, Joe Mellott, who has been with the company since 2016, said, “We are really proud of the diversification of today’s product offering … [and] have a strong sales force of architectural representatives.

Former company President and current CEO Joe Orlando said IMETCO’s transition from being a metal roofing company to a “premier manufacturer of exterior cladding and roof decks” is only the beginning. “We are looking forward to producing innovative custom trim components, new wall and roof panel designs with a focus on energy savings, and establishing an even deeper product line in the years ahead,” he said, adding his extended thanks to “every IMETCO employee that has helped contribute to our success, and to every customer that has ever placed an order with us.”
