As Beacon continues to pursue its Ambition 2025 plan, two of its Executive Committee members have swapped roles.
In a LinkedIn post, the distributor announced that Jonathan Bennett and Jake Gosa will take on the other's role. In his new position as executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Beacon says Gosa will leverage his leadership experience in sales, operations and divisional management to "amplify and accelerate" Beacon’s customer-focused strategic initiatives.
Meanwhile, Bennett will become the new president of the North Division, overseeing the division’s five regions, focusing on accelerating organic market growth and expanding profitability.
"As we begin 2025, we are confident that these leadership transitions will create exceptional value for our customers and shareholders alike," Beacon said in its LinkedIn post.
The swap follows a recent announcement from Beacon stating it exceeded its Ambition 2025 revenue and shareholder return targets in 2023 and is driving above-market growth via footprint expansion through acquisitions and new greenfield branches. Among them was the acquisition of Ryan Building Products in Westwood, Mass. and Fairway Wholesale Distribution in South Hadley, Mass.
In Q4 2024, Beacon opened greenfield locations in Arnold, Mo. and Lebanon, Tenn. In its Q3 2024 report, Beacon's net sales increased to $2.77 billion, 7.3% (5.6% on a per-day basis) growth compared to the prior year, and a Company record for quarterly net sales. Residential roofing product sales increased 2.3% (0.7% on a per-day basis), non-residential roofing product sales increased 9.4% (7.7% on a per-day basis), and complementary product sales increased 17.2% (15.4% on a per-day basis) compared to the prior year.
“Beacon’s third quarter results demonstrated the resilience of our business model and the team’s strong execution on our Ambition 2025 initiatives,” said Julian Francis, Beacon’s President & CEO. “We have, once again, shown that we can grow in any environment."
