Product Line Upgrade
BITEC Adds New Base Sheet to Imperflex Line
New product will debut at International Roofing Expo later this month

Morrilton, Ark.-based BITEC, Inc., a low-slope roofing products manufacturer and distributor, said it will introduce its Imperflex SA2 two-square self-adhered base sheet at this month’s International Roofing Expo in San Antonio, which begins Feb. 19.
The company said the new addition to its product line comes in response to contractor requests for a two-square option for installing BITEC’s popular Imperflex self-adhered SBS-polymer modified bitumen system.
“The SBS-polymer modified Imperflex roofing system offers roofers the convenience of a self-adhered solution, but until now, they’ve been limited to our Imperflex USA 1.5-square smooth-surfaced base sheet,” Joel Shealey, the company president, said in a news release.
BITEC said the integrated Imperflex residential roofing solution is used on residential roofs where slope prevents the effective use of shingles, tile, or metal. BITEC will continue to carry the 1.5 square option for contractors who prefer the slightly thicker option.
“BITEC has never compromised on the original high-quality formulations used in our mod-bit systems. The new Imperflex SA2 base sheet is a welcome extension of the Imperflex product line,” Shane Millwood, BITEC’s vice president of sales, said.
