Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church in Hampton Bays, N.Y., recently received a new roof thanks to local contractor A1 Roofing and GAF, one of North America’s largest roofing manufacturers.
The church's aging roof needed repair, and a significant leak threatened its structural integrity and ability to serve the community safely.
GAF stated that Saint Mary's Episcopal Church is a vital community resource, providing services like a food pantry, hosting Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, and collecting non-perishable food for blessing boxes for those in need.
A1 Roofing, a local, family-owned and operated roofing company deeply rooted in a commitment to community service and two-time GAF Chairman’s Circle recipient, installed the new roof with a portion of the materials donated by GAF.
The GAF Commercial Chairman’s Circle Award recognizes the leading roofing contractors in the low-slope, commercial roofing industry - A1 Roofing received this recognition in 2024 and 2025.
"At A1 Roofing, we believe in going the extra mile for our clients. After securing this project, we sought out additional funding opportunities through the GAF Chairman Circle program and secured a grant for this church project,” shared Kevin Reilly, commercial project manager and estimator at A1 Roofing.
“It’s rewarding to provide not just a high-quality GAF TPO roofing system with copper-edge metal but also financial relief for an organization that serves the community,” Reilly added. “Ensuring long-term relationships and peace of mind is what we do best."
This collaboration is part of GAF’s social impact initiative, GAF Community Matters, which is focused on making a positive difference as neighbors and partners in the community by leveraging roofing expertise, resources and products to help build resilient communities.
“We are extremely thankful to GAF and A1 Roofing, as their services will help us continue to support our community in a major way for years to come,” said Father Justin Falciani at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church.
“Their commitment to our facility’s needs goes beyond just professional service — they truly embody the spirit of compassion and giving back,” Father Falciani added.
