Best of Best of Success: NRCA’s Ribble Shares What’s Next for Roofing Contractors

Reid-Ribble-BOS-2019

Roofing Contractor continued its Best of Best of Success webinar series this week with a presentation from National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) CEO Reid Ribble that put the challenges of the past year in perspective, and laid out what contractors can expect in 2021.

Unable to host the 16th annual Best of Success conference as planned in Dallas due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RC invited Ribble, a former contractor and Congressman from Wisconsin, to discuss what’s next for the roofing industry as cases rise amid economic uncertainty around the country.

He said the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on the industry as a whole is unmistakable, and that he expects many changes to how roofers do business to stick around. For example, conducting business virtually is here to stay as sales, estimation and communication tools unlocked time and cost savings for contractors working through the pandemic.

Ribble also noted that safety concerns and the desire for social distancing in enclosed spaces will change the rental property market in both residential and commercial sectors for years to come.

“It’s reshaping the residential space, and as companies are learning more about how people are being productive in a different environment, we’re likely to see things not go back to fully normal,” Ribble said.

Following Ribble’s presentation, RC announced its annual winners of the residential and commercial Contractor of the Year award for 2020.
