Police in Longmont, Colo., which is about 36 miles north of Denver, took their search for two criminals to the news desk of KDVR-TV this week for a tried-and-true tactic: asking for the public’s help identifying a pair of thieves who allegedly broke into an ABC Supply branch last Sunday morning.

According to Longmont Public Safety, the pair broke into the ABC Supply branch around 6:30 a.m. on September 8. The area is bordered by railroads and, brazenly, only a couple blocks from Longmont’s police headquarters.

Before leaving, the thieves reportedly filled a pickup truck’s bed with roofing materials. According to the police, the pair were driving a red truck. Fox 31 anchors said the truck appears to be either rusted or losing its paint on the roof and tailgate.

In a seemingly strange twist, looking closely at the man pictured in the image, the logo on his ballcap could be mistaken for a Beacon logo. Perhaps he is an equal opportunity thief.
