Huntsman Corporation announced that Douglas Brady has been named president of Huntsman Building Solutions, its global spray polyurethane foam business. Brady succeeds Simon Baker, who will return to his native England.

The company said Brady has extensive knowledge of construction markets and commercial and technical expertise in insulation, coatings, adhesives and sealant applications. He joined Huntsman in March 2018 with the acquisition of Demilec, a leading North American SPF insulation manufacturer.

Following Huntsman's February 2020 acquisition of SPF manufacturer Icynene-Lapolla, Brady became vice president of Global Innovation & Product Management for HBS. Demilec and Icynene-Lapolla were integrated to form Huntsman Building Solutions.

“I’m excited that Doug has taken on the leadership of our spray foam business; he has deep market expertise and a strong track record of success,” Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division President Tony Hankins said.

“Moving forward, we’re optimistic about the opportunities for the business,” he added. “We aim to expand spray foam markets, reduce energy costs and improve home affordability within the new building code landscape.”

Huntsman Building Solutions is a business unit within Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division. The news of Brady’s elevation came in a September 11 news release.
