IMETCO recently introduced IntelliWrap PR, a permeable, self-adhering roofing underlayment that provides a water and air-tight vapor-permeable barrier for various roofing systems, including, but not limited to, standing seam metal, slate tile, clay tile, and cedar shingle roofs.

Designed for steep slopes (2:12 or more), IntelliWrap underlayment can also be used with lower-slope roofs.

Vapor permeability expedites the drying of building materials, significantly reducing the risk of moisture infiltration. In addition, IntelliWrap PR underlayment meets ASTM E2178 air-barrier resistance and is formulated to withstand temperatures as high as 250°F.

It is compatible with various substrates, including fiberglass-reinforced gypsum sheathing board, rigid insulation, concrete, plywood, steel, galvanized metal, aluminum and OSB.

“With its slip-resistant, UV-stable surface, the new IntelliWrap underlayment facilitates safe installation while offering a vapor-permeable barrier that allows the roof assembly to breath,” said Jonnie Hasan, P.E., IMETCO’s director of engineering and sales support. “It bonds fully without the use of primers, and is simple to install with no special tool requirements.”

IMETCO is a manufacturer of premier metal products for the building envelope. It offers a range of high-performance metal roofing, wall, and deck systems and accessories that provide a virtually limitless realm of aesthetic possibilities.
