Holcim signed an agreement to acquire OX Engineered Products, a U.S. provider of advanced insulation systems for residential and commercial applications, with estimated 2024 net sales of $136 million, the company announced on Tuesday.
The acquisition continues Holcim’s Solutions & Products business expansion into construction segments, including roofing, insulation, repair and refurbishment. The company said it expects regulatory clearance to proceed and close the deal sometime in Q4 2024.
OX will operate as a standalone business unit within the Nashville, Tenn.-based Holcim Building Envelope division led by Jamie Gentoso, global head of Solutions & Products at Holcim and president of Holcim Building Envelope.
“OX Engineered Products is the ideal addition to Holcim’s business in North America, with its complementary range of proprietary technologies and trusted brands,” Holcim CEO Miljan Gutovic said in an October 8 news release.
“Its premium solutions enable us to offer the full suite of building envelope systems to our North America customers, from residential to commercial applications [and] I warmly welcome all 210 employees of OX Engineered Products to the Holcim family,” he added.
OX Engineered Products develops and manufactures insulation solutions and weatherization systems in the U.S. Midwest and Southeast. Holcim said the company is a preferred provider of high-quality solutions for the nation’s largest homebuilders, adding the acquisition is “highly synergistic” and EPS accretive from year one.
