Skyline Roofing Partners Acquires Two Fla. Gulf Coast Roofing Firms

Classic Roofing & Construction and John Hogan Roofing join the Atlanta-based platform portfolio

March 10, 2025

Skyline Roofing Partners, the Atlanta-based portfolio platform backed by Imperial Capital, announced on Monday it had acquired two residential roofing companies, Classic Roofing & Construction and John Hogan Roofing.

Skyline is partnering with Jake Babbitt, owner of Classic and Hogan. In a March 10 news release, Skyline said Babbit will retain a minority stake in the portfolio and remain running his companies to drive the next growth phase; he also joined Skyline’s Founder's Council.

The platform described Classic, founded in 2003 and Hogan, established in 1996, as “highly respected and trusted names in residential re-roofing.”

Each firm is based in Clearwater, Fla., and provides residential services across Florida’s Gulf Coast. Terms were not disclosed.

"We are excited to build upon Skyline's momentum, by welcoming these two high-quality companies to our platform," said Mike Midgett, Skyline's CEO.

"Our strategy remains centered on thoughtfully selecting partners who align with our long-term vision,” he added. “Jake and his team have built an outstanding reputation by prioritizing customer service and driving impressive growth; we look forward to working together to accelerate that success."

Founded in 2023, Skyline now adds Classic and Hogan to its initial acquisition, Elo Roofing, based in Jacksonville, Fla., with offices in Palm Coast and Melbourne, and a Rocky Mountain office in Denver.

"The Skyline team has been an outstanding partner throughout this process," Babbitt said.

"Their vision and approach really resonated with us, and I am confident that we will unlock significant growth together; this partnership will … allow us to enhance the service we provide to our customers [and] create new opportunities for our employees."

Skyline said it is actively recruiting new partnerships with residential roofing companies nationwide.
