Chuck started his roofing career in 1982. After a few years in his home State of Minnesota he moved to Arizona in 1985 and went to work for Bryant - Universal Roofers. After 10 years and ascending to the position of Commercial Estimating Manager it was time to move on. In 1994 Chuck became a partner in Classic Roofing Inc. of Phoenix and assumed the position of Vice President. During his 11 years with Classic Roofing, Chuck was the driving force behind growing the business and now Classic Roofing is of the highly respected roofing contractors in the Arizona market.
After 23 years in Arizona, Chuck moved back to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis & St. Paul. Chuck became employed by Tecta America Corp. and served as the President of Central Roofing Co. in Minneapolis MN. and Standard Roofing Co. in Glendale, AZ. In early 2010 Standard Roofing changed their name to Tecta America AZ. to reflect more of the corporate branding of the Tecta name. Currently Chuck serves as the full time President of Tecta America Arizona.

Charles Mahall has been appointed as FM Approvals’ Americas Business Development Manager and is responsible for the team and growth strategies for North, Central, and South America.
In his new role, Charles’ experience and expertise supports the continued advancement of FM Approvals’ mission to objectively test property loss products and certify those that meet the rigorous standards of quality, technical integrity, and performance.
Since joining the company in 1999, Charles has held advancing roles on FM Approvals’ Fire Protection and Americas Business Development teams, serving most recently as Principal Americas Business Development Engineer.
Throughout his years with the organization, Charles has been integral to the expansion and innovation associated with FM Approvals’ portfolio of tested and certified loss prevention products spanning fire protection systems and components, extinguishing systems, flood mitigation solutions, and many emerging technologies created to support property loss prevention.
Charles replaces Robert Azimi, who will retire on July 1, 2024, after 20 years contributing to and leading the Americas Business Development team. FM Approvals sincerely thanks Robert for his dedication and significant impact on the growth of the organization.

Phillip J. Smith, PE is Vice President and Manager of the Materials Group of FM Approvals. He holds BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and has over 40 years experience in testing and research of building materials. He is responsible for the overall management of the Materials Group. He is a member of ASCE, NRCA, RCI, ICC and RICOWI.
He began his career at FM Approval in 1984 as an Approvals engineer. In 1989 he transferred to FM Staff Engineering working on Data Sheet development and supporting FM Loss Prevention Consultants. He moved back to FM Approvals in 1999 as a Senior Engineer. Since then, he has held positions of Technical Team Manager, Principal Engineer and his current role as Manager of the Materials Group.

A second-generation professional roofing contractor. Gregg Wallick’s knowledge and passion for the industry was the driving forces behind three large commercial roofing companies. Under Gregg’s leadership all three companies enjoyed growth, outstanding reputation, and significant success. Most recently Gregg and his son Ian Wallick built, scaled & sold Best Roofing, one of the largest and most highly respected commercial roofing companies in South Florida to a Private Equity Company.
Gregg attended the University of Miami on a football scholarship and earned both his undergraduate degree in business administration as well as his MBA. In his senior year his teammates elected him as the defensive team captain. Gregg also served as an assistant coach for the Hurricanes for two years. Gregg believes that the principles, beliefs and ambition he acquired competing in sports are the life lessons that has allowed him to successfully compete in the business world.
Professionally, Gregg has served as the past director of the National Roofing Contractors Association and retains his contractor licenses in the roofing field. Gregg is certified by the State of Florida Department of Professional Regulations to teach classes to licensed and certified property managers on how to make roofing decisions. Gregg frequently lectures at trade shows and has been published in numerous trade journals about roofing and business practices. Gregg and his family have long been active supporter of many non-profit organizations in the South Florida community.
Gregg is especially proud of being a husband and raising six children with his wife Liz. Gregg, Liz along with two dogs, and five cats, one Mongoose live in Plantation Fl. & Key Largo Fl.

Kirt Linington is CSO of Stronghouse Solutions headquartered in Addington, Texas, with additional branch offices in Austin and Lubbock; the company also has offices in Florida, Colorado, and Nebraska.
Linington co-founded Linear Roofing firm in 2015, which is principally a residential roofing company specializing in reroofing and solar installation services. Born in South Africa, Linington came to the United States in 1999 and made a pit stop as a personal trainer before entering the roofing trade.
His tenacity and honed interpersonal skills have propelled him to realize great success within the trade, leading to Linear’s eventual assumption into the portfolio company O2 Investment Partners in 2022.

Charles Antis, Founder and CEO of Antis Roofing & Waterproofing, began his career as a roofing professional in 1984. Since then, he has become one of the most trusted names in the Southern California roofing industry, as well as an inspirational business leader championing social corporate responsibility.
A well-respected and widely known roofing expert, entrepreneur and humanitarian, Charles is a board member of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) also serving on the Image and Outreach Committee. He is also a member of The Roofing Alliance for Progress and serves on the Roofing Technology Think Tank (RT3). Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors for Orange County Habitat for Humanity (Habitat OC), through which Antis Roofing & Waterproofing has donated every roof installation of every home built by Habitat OC since 2009. Charles also serves the following organizations, where his passion and experience as a local thought leader for corporate social responsibility inspires others into “doing well by doing good.”
Charles has been the recipient of many prestigious awards over the years and was honored in 2018 with the Business of the Year from the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce. In 2017 Antis was honored by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizen Award, Small and Mid-Size Business. Charles Antis is a sought-after speaker, panelist, podcast and radio show guest. He was featured in 2018 as the keynote at the Irvine Chamber of Commerce Legends and Leaders breakfast; and at the US Chamber of Commerce Corporate Citizenship conference.The Antis “model for giving – give to grow” has been featured in two books: “How Goodness Pays” written by Paul Batz with Paul Hillen; and “Unlocking High Performance” by Jason Lauritsen.
As a proponent of multi-tenant housing ownership education, Charles served for more than 20 years on the Education Committee of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), teaching maintenance responsibilities to board members and community managers. He is a former 20-year member of Vistage 390. He attended Brigham Young University and lives with his wife and children in Irvine, California.

Recognizing a trend of clients seeking holistic partners, he redefined the company as a Custom Building Envelope Solutions provider. In 2016, he established GRS, a professional service and maintenance division, to build and maintain customer relationships, shifting its focus from roofing to comprehensive building envelope maintenance. In addition, David invested in key acquisitions include The Waterproofing Company, a pioneering waterproofing contractor, and Phoenix Bay State Construction, Inc., a leading masonry contractor in Boston. Brad’s industry involvement at the state and national level includes serving as President of the Sarasota Manatee Roofing Contractors Association for the 2005- 2006 term, President of the Florida State Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association in 2012, and serving on the Board of Directors for the National Roofing Contractors Association for the 2014-2017 term, and as the Vice Chairman on the Executive Committee of NRCA from 2019- 2022.
