Mike Kearns founded Dearborn, Mich.-based Kearns Brothers, a roofing and contracting firm, in 1986 following his service in the U.S. military, obtaining a degree in business and gaining on-the-job experience in the corporate realm. His emphasis on exceptional customer service and high-quality installations led to the company's enviable growth, employing 50 people. The company’s success did not go unnoticed; in 2021 Kearns Brothers was acquired by Feazel, preserving its culture and growth trajectory. Outside work, Kearns, a family-oriented outdoors enthusiast, enjoys living a pastoral life on a horse farm in rural Dexter, Mich., about an hour west of Detroit.
