The Construction Association of South Florida held its 66th Annual Craftmanship Awards on Oct. 30 at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, honoring Delray Beach, Fla.-based Gulfstream Roofing Inc. with a Craftmanship Award, among other recipients.

“This award truly reflects our commitment to quality and excellence in the roofing industry,” the company said in a statement, adding, “We’re proud of this achievement and grateful for the continued support from our colleagues.”

According to Gulfstream principal Bob McDonald, the company has been a CASF member for about 40 years. Early in his career, McDonald also played an active role in the group’s governance, serving as a board member and past president.

The Annual Craftmanship Awards, held by the CASF, were founded in 1958 to recognize the excellence in workmanship of construction professionals, exemplified by the region's most skilled craftsmen. Each year, CASF honors as many as 50-60 craftsmen in dozens of categories, ranging from mechanical piping and decorative concrete to glazed-block masonry and architectural woodwork.
