Westlake Royal Building Products has introduced Dryroll, a universal ridge vent and weather block.

Designed to safeguard the roof from the elements, the ridge vent solution helps exhaust heat and moisture from the roof with roll-able installation; the product blends smoothly with the roof and reduces unappealing field vents and roof penetrations.

“Dryroll ridge vent is a cutting-edge solution, which optimizes roof protection and attic ventilation,” says Steve Booz, vice president of marketing for Westlake Royal Building Products. “It safeguards a roof against the elements while enhancing energy efficiency and energy savings for the homeowner.”

Dryroll is easily installed by unrolling and sealing it to the field tiles without additional tools or fasteners.

Its stretchable aluminum sides fit seamlessly on the roof, while butyl strips seal the ridge and hip areas to prevent wind-driven rain and snow. With 15.6 square inches of ventilation per linear foot, Westlake says Dryroll outperforms many ridge vent options, keeping the attic and home cooler during hot weather.

“As a lightweight rollable solution, installation is also both simpler and quicker for contractors,” adds Booz.

Offered in two roll options of 11.6” wide 3.7-pound and 14.4” 4.6-pound rolls, the product is easy to handle and transport and meets the design specification outlined in IAPMO ER-2015.

Dryroll ridge vent is designed for Newpoint Concrete Roof Tile, known for its strength and durability, and US Tile Clay Roofing Products, renowned for sustainability and craftsmanship. It also plays a key role in the Westlake Royal Cool Roof System, which enhances ventilation and energy efficiency, helping homes save up to 22% on energy costs annually.

“When used as part of the Cool Roof System, Dryroll allows the roof to breathe so it stays cool in summer and dry in winter,” says Booz.
