SRS Distribution is partnering with ToolBelt, a job platform catering to the construction industry, to address the workforce shortage facing roofing and construction companies.

"We’re excited to team up with ToolBelt to tackle the skilled labor gap and create more opportunities for contractors," SRS said in a LinkedIn post.

According to SRS, verified SRS contractors that are licensed, insured and bonded are promoted for quicker connections. The partnership will also allow for skilled labor to connect with jobs faster through its nationwide access and access the resources and workforce needed to keep jobs on track and on budget.

On its website, ToolBelt says contractors can be connected 15 times faster than traditional job boards. The platform serves 65,000 contractors in 387 metro areas in 46 trades, including roofing. Users can directly call and text employers through the platform.

SRS' other recent endeavors to bolster the construction and distribution workforce include a partnership with the Department of Defense's SkillBridge Training Program, which allows service members to prepare for post-military careers by gaining civilian work experience through internships with corporate partners.
