RoofMart International Inc., Chapman, Kan., introduces AltoRust™, a water-based product that converts iron oxide to iron phosphate, literally changing the chemical structure. The material is able to adhere to any rusting surface such as roof decks, support beams, air conditioning units and any other roof protrusion. It is applied with an airless sprayer but can be done by hand for small jobs. It cures as it dries.
