The National Roofing Contractors Association signed an agreement with the Delaware Valley Job Corps Center to create a federally funded roofer technician training program in Callicoon, N.Y., which will begin in July 2001. The program targets disadvantaged people 16 to 24 years of age from around the United States.

The Delaware Valley Job Corps Center is part of the Jobs Corps Program operated by the U.S. Department of Labor. Program completion is dependent on the student and can last six to 18 months. NRCA has developed the Job Corps approved curriculum and will help supply worker training materials. After completion of the program, NRCA will help students find employment throughout the country.
