ALCO-NVC Inc., Detroit, has expanded the ALCO Cap mastic, a polyester reinforced roofing system for maintaining existing smooth-surface and gravel-covered built up roofs. The system has been expanded with a maintenance system and a metal-ply system. All are covered in detailed specification manuals and are warranted systems. The company also has improved the ALCO Shield Ice and Water Protector. This product is a fiberglass-reinforced polymer modified asphalt membrane used for shingle underlayment to protect from ice dam backup and wind driven rain.
