Englert doubled the size of its Tampa operation, moving into new facilities to make more room for inventory and sales operations. The new facility serves all of Florida and the Caribbean. The company has also doubled the size of its sales and operations staffs in Plainview, which serves most of the Midwest, and in Columbia, which serves South Carolina and Georgia.
“The metal roofing market for Englert has been extremely strong despite signs of a recession,” notes Deborah Harnett, president of Englert. “Business in these three markets in particular has been well ahead of national averages for Englert, in part due to a good commercial construction economy for metal roofing and aggressive sales and marketing by our staffs there.”
In other news, Englert has been designated an Energy Star-labeled Roof Product Partner by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and has obtained Energy Star listings for all of its Acrylic Coated and Chemically Treated Series metal roofing products.
“Our reflective roofing systems represent one of the most significant energy savings to homeowners and builders in the roofing industry,” says Kevin Corcoran, vice president at Englert. “Our Energy Star metal roofing products have an initial solar reflectance of .78, the highest in the industry. We are committed to offering our customers Energy Star products that can provide nearly 50 percent in cooling savings and nearly 40 percent in savings for peak demand electrical energy for comparison to other conventional roofing systems.”
