Firestone is expanding its Denver insulation plant.
Firestone Building Products, Carmel, Ind., is expanding its Denver insulation plant in order to meet the increasing demand for polyisocyanurate roof insulation. The current 72,000-square-foot facility will relocate to a new 262,000-square-foot facility to be built in Aurora, Colo. During January and February 2002, Firestone will transfer the existing manufacturing line to the Aurora facility, with full production scheduled to begin in March 2002. The facility will incorporate Firestone’s new environmentally safe IsoGard Foam Technology, which uses a Pentane blowing agent in lieu of HCFC 141b formulation.
