FLIR Systems, North Billerica, Mass., announces the launch of the new ThermaCAM P65 infrared camera. New features on the P65 include: voice recording, with up to 30 seconds for each image; FireWire (IEEE 1394b) connectivity, enabling the transfer of digital video at up to 800 megabits per second, plus USB and IrDA connectivity; onboard AVI video storage; and a brilliant LED target illuminator that automatically turns on when the visual digital camera function is selected. The P65 automatically and continuously adjusts its temperature span and auto-focuses at the touch of a button to obtain optimal quality images. It also can automatically track the position of the hottest spot in the image, indicate its temperature, and instantly calculate the difference between different measurement points.
