Hunter Panels, Portland, Maine, has announced the construction of its third U.S. manufacturing facility to be located in Lake City, Fla. The plant will incorporate a new, state-of-the-art laminator in addition to over 100,000 square feet of warehouse space. Plant opening is scheduled for late May 2004.
Hunter Panels produces a full line of rigid polyiso roof insulation for use in public and commercial buildings. The company currently operates manufacturing facilities in Kingston, N.Y., and Franklin Park, Ill.
"Our expansion into the Southeast is key to the company's continued growth," says Alma Garnett, vice president of Hunter Panels. "This is a vibrant region for polyiso growth and our customers need access to supply. We chose the Lake City location for its business friendly community and its excellent highway access into neighboring states." Hunter will service the seven contiguous southeast states from this facility.
