Mobile Medical Corp., Bethel Park, Pa., an on-site provider of industrial medical services nationwide, was named a finalist in the Information Technology Category of the Pittsburgh Technology Council's 2003 Tech 50 Awards. MMC was recognized for its leadership and vision as an innovative business, for being a developer of Web-based technologies that benefit the construction field and other industries, and for acting as a good corporate citizen committed to technological advancement community-wide.

Started in 1990 by Cynthia J. Latsko, president/CEO, MMC has provided the construction industry with on-site industrial medical services that include nursing and first-aid services, physical examinations, biological monitoring, substance abuse testing and labor-management cooperative programs. As a woman-owned business enterprise, MMC has won major contracts and earned recognition for its expertise with the collective bargaining process, along with "setting new standards" for innovation and service.

MMC employs the Internet as the foundation of an information system to give its customers convenient, timely access to data, to provide the online ability to generate reports and schedule appointments, to promote effective communication among diverse groups and to help achieve and maintain regulatory compliance.
