Carlisle's Sure-Flex Earns Energy Star Rating

CARLISLE, Pa. - Carlisle SynTec has received Energy Star approval for its Sure-Flex PVC white membrane. In order to qualify for the Energy Star rating, Sure-Flex PVC had to achieve 65 percent reflectivity as a new product and 50 percent reflectivity after three years of outdoor exposure. Sure-Flex met and exceeded these requirements.

“In an industry that revolves around energy efficiency, this approval marks a significant achievement for Carlisle’s product development and proves Carlisle’s commitment to energy conservation,” said Randy Ober, Carlisle SynTec Thermoplastics Product Manager.

Fi-Foil Donates Radiant Barrier Insulation

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Fi-Foil Co. Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of energy-efficient reflective insulation and radiant barriers, donated its Silver Shield™ radiant barrier product for the Eureka $mart House Energy-Efficiency Challenge.

NBC Universal’s SCI FI Channel, along with the Alliance to Save Energy and Edison Electric Institute, came together to create an energy-efficiency campaign offering low- and high-tech energy efficiency, money-saving tips and energy facts, as well as a chance to win a home energy-efficiency makeover. A family of nine from Baton Rouge, La., who housed Hurricane Katrina victims, won the challenge. The family received a free $25,000 energy-efficiency makeover of its home.
