Drexel Metals Corporation has added an easy to use spreadsheet for metal roof and PV estimation, to an already extensive list of tools for its DMARM (Drexel Metals Association of Regional Manufacturer’s) members. The Drexel Solar Program offers DMARM members complete access to a large inventory of Flexlight  thin film laminates, and breaks down the barrier of entry into the solar market. The implementation of this simple, easy to use spreadsheet, allows members to not only configure a solar estimate, but also provides links to incentive information, electrical contractors, de-rate factors, and tilt to Roof Pitch conversions. It also shows how to maximize the performance of the building-intergraded Photovoltaic system. The estimator also breaks down the metal roof, inverter, and PV costs into an uncomplicated cost per square foot.
