Building on its previous leadership in green rooftop products, the Commercial Products Group has introduced skylights to its lineup of rooftop accessory products. Skylights are now available with single or double domes in choices of clear, white, or bronze domes either with or without rooftop curbs. Curb materials can be aluminum, galvanized steel, or even Galvalume for metal roof systems. The skylight curbs incorporate a new insulation with a non-petroleum based binder. It took five years of detailed research and testing to develop this new insulation binder based on bio-based sources which are rapidly renewable and contain no phenol, formaldehyde, acrylics or artificial colors. Additionally, this new binder utilizes recycled glass. This new insulation will not accelerate corrosion of either aluminum or steel nor will it promote or support the growth of mold, fungi or bacteria.
