VALLEY FORGE, Pa. — CertainTeed has announced its new Flintlastic Application Specialist qualification: an educational program that helps contractors learn proper application of various low-slope modified bitumen roofing systems. This allows individual commercial roofing installers to become credentialed with CertainTeed. The program utilizes the Flintlastic Application Handbook, located on the company’s website, and provides information on how to install hot-mopped, torch-welded, cold-applied and self-adhered roofing systems. A Spanish version will also be available soon.

To earn a Flintlastic Application Specialist qualification, contractors must pass the open-book test after studying the handbook. A passing grade earns the contractor a Flintlastic Application Specialist Certificate and a Specialist hat.
