LAS VEGAS — The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) has announced the winners of the Charlie Raymond Award at its 127th Annual Convention held Feb. 26-28 in Las Vegas.

The 2014 Charlie Raymond Award contractor member winner is Nelson R. Braddy Jr., president and chief executive officer of King of Texas Roofing Co. LP, and current NRCA president, of Grand Prairie, Texas. GAF, Wayne, N.J., received the award in the associate category.

Braddy is a three-time recipient of the contractor member award, and GAF has won in the associate category for four consecutive years.

The award is named in honor of former NRCA president and J.A. Piper Award winner Charlie Raymond, who took on the role of NRCA Membership Committee chairman when the association had only 328 members. He recruited NRCA's 1,000th member in 1973. Each year in his memory, the Charlie Raymond Award honors contactors and associate members for their efforts to recruit new NRCA members.
