EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Allied Building Products Corp. has announced successful partnership with Toys for Tots in Great Lakes Region.
Allied Building Products Corporation, true to its commitment of being a good neighbor, has teamed up with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots to put smiles on children's faces this holiday season.
The objectives of Toys for Tots is to help less-fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources — our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future. Since 1947, Toys for Tots has distributed more than 419 million toys to more than 195 million underprivileged children throughout the nation.
Beginning Nov. 10, all 28 Allied locations in the Great Lakes Region participated as Toys for
Tots drop-off locations. Customers and employees were encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys through Saturday, Dec.12. Exceeding all expectations, employees and customers of Allied
Building Products collected more than 3,800 toys during this time frame.
“The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve relies on the support of local businesses to carry out the mission of the Toys for Tots program. Allied Building Products’ employees and customers from across the Great Lakes Region are excited for the opportunity to assist with this endeavor. As a father, it’s a joy to see my children’s faces light up on Christmas morning as they unwrap their gifts. Through our partnership with Toys for Tots, Allied wants to ensure that every parent and child experiences that joy. This is a great project, and we are happy that we could partner with the United States Marine Corps Reserve 2014 Toys for Tots Campaign,” said Steve Whitcomb, regional vice president, Allied Building Products.
