ROSEMONT, Ill. — To keep the roofing industry up to date on the changing science of roofing technical information, the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) has released The NRCA Roofing Manual: Membrane Roof Systems — 2015. The new volume updates the 2011 volume under the same title, serving as a reference for contractors, architects and roof consultants.
The 2015 manual provides best industry practices and technical information about the design, materials and installation techniques applicable to membrane roof systems used in low-slope applications.
In addition, the manual includes information about roof decks, air and vapor retarders, rigid board insulation, roof membranes, fasteners, surfacing, accessories, roof system configurations and roof re-coverings. It also has a new format that will assist in proper product and material selection.
The NRCA Roofing Manual: Membrane Roof Systems — 2015 is best used with other currently applicable volumes of The NRCA Roofing Manual: The NRCA Roofing Manual: Architectural Metal Flashing, Condensation and Air Leakage Control, and Reroofing — 2014; The NRCA Roofing Manual: Steep-slope Roof Systems — 2013; and The NRCA Manual and SPF Roof Systems — 2012. All four volumes can be purchased in a boxed set and are also available in electronic version. The 2015 manual and boxed set may be purchased at www.shop.nrca.net.
