The team at Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. celebrated a banner 2015 fiscal year by giving back to the men and women that keep America safe during a special event at the International Roofing Expo (IRE) in Orlando.
Beacon hosted contractors and roofing professionals from across the industry for an event at the Brick House Tavern + Tap on the opening night of the IRE, Feb. 17. Roughly 600 contractors were in attendance, and many of them entered a special drawing to win a 2016 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe motorcycle to benefit Ride2Recovery.
“We were so pleased with the overwhelming amount of support we received from our loyal customer base,” said Erik Zadrozny, Beacon’s national director of marketing. “The room was absolutely electric when we picked a name out of the raffle.”
The winner was Brian Kramer of Buck Roofing & Construction in Kansas City, Kan.
In addition to the giveaway, Beacon donated $20,000 to Ride2Recovery, a non-profit that supports physical and psychological rehabilitation programs for injured military veterans — with cycling as the featured core activity.
“Beacon takes pride in giving back to our community and supporting the U.S. Military,” Zadrozny added.
Company officials said Beacon had a historic 2015 with the acquisition of Roofing Supply Group (RSG), ProCoat Systems, RCI Roofing Supply, Statewide Wholesale and RIS Roofing Supply.
