Kett Tool Company eliminates airborne dust for reduced cleanup with the KD-1495 Fiber-Cement Shears. The handheld shears quickly and easily cut fiber-cement siding and backer board using a shearing action that curls the waste strip, leaving behind virtually no airborne dust.
“The KD-1495 Fiber-Cement Shears are a true time and labor saver,” said Kathy Conlon, president of Kett Tool Company. “The shears provide a faster, cleaner alternative for cutting cement board and siding, significantly minimizing the airborne dust left behind, allowing contactors and installers to spend less time cleaning and more time getting the job done.”
The KD-1495 uses a powerful five-amp pistol grip, 0-2,500 RPM variable-speed electric motor that easily cuts through fiber-cement board (up to 5/8 inches thick), cement siding or backer board – all at speeds of up to 26 inches per minute. The tool features a rugged steel head, but remains lightweight at 4.5 pounds, and has a cutting radius of 10 inches for maximum maneuverability. The shear blades are precision made in the U.S. featuring A2 tool steel blades for prolonged durability, and are quickly replaced to reduce downtime on the job.
