Improper use of ladders is consistently one of the top 10 most cited OSHA violations each year; in fact, more than 300 people die in ladder-related accidents on an annual basis. Given the near-omnipresence of ladders in all types of workplaces and the high likelihood that they could be used in an unsafe way, the American Ladder Institute has declared March 2017 to be the first ever National Ladder Safety Month. Werner Ladders will support this initiative by offering resources of its own to help end users work with their ladders in the safest way possible.
Werner is the world leader in manufacturing of ladders and safety equipment and as such, it is deeply committed to safety. To that end, Werner offers a variety of safety-focused products and educational resources. Whether someone is the manager of a massive construction project or a weekend warrior cleaning the gutters, Werner can help guide ladder users in the safest possible manner. Their free resources include:
Downloadable Ladder Safety Inspection Forms
Video-Based Safety Training Courses
Comprehensive Fall Protection Support
In May 2017, Werner will also provide jobsite safety training to thousands of end users with its nationwide support of OSHA’s Stand Down to Safety Initiative. Throughout North America, WernerCo’s End-User Support (EUS) team will conduct hundreds of onsite training sessions focused on ladder safety and fall protection.
