The roofing industry is mourning the loss of Mark Gwaltney, of Diamond-Everly Roofing in Perry, Kan.
Gwaltney was president and owner of the company, and served on the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA) Executive Board for several years is many key leadership positions, including chairman of the business management committee and chairman of the CERTA taskforce. He was 60 years old.
“Mark was a steadfast and thoughtful leader of the MRCA who gave countless hours to the association and to the roofing industry. He will truly be missed. Our hearts go out to the entire Gwaltney family,” a statement from the MRCA read.
Mark is survived by wife, Tami, three children and three grandchildren.
A funeral service is planned for Monday, Aug. 14 at the First United Methodist Church West Campus in Lawrence, Kan. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Lawrence Habitat for Humanity and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
