WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — ASTM International’s committee on roofing and waterproofing presented its top annual award — the Award of Merit — to Randall Ober of Carlisle Construction Materials.
The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contribution to developing standards.
Ober was honored for outstanding leadership, distinguished service, and personal dedication in developing and promoting the voluntary standards of the committee, particularly for exceptional technical and administrative contribution to the group on organic roof coverings.
A member of ASTM since 1990, Ober has also received the Award of Appreciation (2005 and 2014), the 25-Year Service Award (2015), and the Distinguished Leadership Award (2010) from the committee. He is also a member of the ASTM committee on geosynthetics.
Ober, a product development consultant for Carlisle Construction Materials, has held his position since 2016, having previously worked as a research and development engineer, TPO product development manager, and TPO product manager for the same company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
