JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Reliant Roofing has completed the first phase of their second annual Every Shingle Heart Initiative.
On Saturday, Nov. 17, Reliant Roofing completed the roof replacement for Macclenny Samaritan Food Bank and held a food drive in their honor. This is the first year that the Jacksonville-based roofing company has included a non-profit in their Every Shingle Heart Initiative, which provides new roofs to the community in need.
Earlier this year, Reliant Roofing announced in a surprise ceremony their selection of two local families to receive new roofs as well.
CEO Sean Shapiro said, "The Macclenny Samaritan Food Bank roof replacement and food drive went wonderfully, making the first phase of the 2018 Every Shingle Heart Initiative complete. We all felt so humbled, and yet honored, as a team to have the opportunity to help the Food Bank and the people they serve."
“I want to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the wonderful roofing job at the food bank,” said Pastor Mitch Rhoden of the Samaritan Food Pantry. “The food drive and roof replacement are such a huge help to the work that we do weekly. The food will be used to feed many families in the area.”
