ST. PETERS, Mo. — Central States Manufacturing Inc. is expanding with a new 53,600-square-foot manufacturing facility in St. Peters, Mo.
The $6.4 million project is the first operation for Central States in Missouri, and will add 88 new jobs to the region.
According to a press release, Central States Manufacturing chose St. Peters as the location for its new facility due to the region’s highly skilled labor and low business costs. St. Peters is about 30 miles northwest of St. Louis.
The company currently has nine manufacturing locations operating in South Dakota, Indiana, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas and Texas (two locations).
Founded in 1988, Central States "produces metal roofing and siding for thousands of customers across America," according to its website.
Products manufactured at the new facility will include metal panels and related metal trim and may include the production of sub structural steel for metal buildings, according to the company.
“We want to extend a big, warm welcome to Central States Manufacturing,” Governor Mike Parson said in a press release from the Missouri Partnership, the region’s economic development organization. “We’re excited to be part of this company’s growth, and we look forward to working together as they create jobs and continue to invest in this region.”
“We are very excited about our new facility in St. Peters,” said Adam Haynes, vice president of sales and marketing for Central States Manufacturing. “This location will allow us to better serve our customers in the Missouri and Illinois area with faster lead-time to help grow their business. The community has been very receptive, and I look forward to working with our new employees to find ways to serve and to be an outstanding resource for our neighbors.”
