COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Once companies have the pleasure of participating in a St. Jude Dream Home project, they seem to want to do it again and again. At least, that’s the case for award-winning Colorado builder Covington Homes and shingle manufacturer TAMKO Building Products.

This is the fourth Colorado Springs Dream Home project that Covington Homes has taken the lead on, the last several of which were completed at zero cost to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, resulting in 100 percent of the proceeds from the Dream Home raffle directly supporting St. Jude and their mission of eradicating childhood cancer.

“We are so grateful for all our wonderful partners who have contributed to the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway and support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude,” said Kesia Culbertson, a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital development representative for the Colorado Springs Dream House.

This is the first time TAMKO has worked with Covington Homes to donate the roofing for a Colorado Springs St. Jude Dream House. But TAMKO’s participation with St. Jude spans many states over many years. TAMKO works with builders and distributors across the U.S. to donate the roofing for multiple St. Jude Dream Home projects every year. Along with this recently-completed Colorado project, TAMKO donated roofs for Dream Home projects currently underway in Missouri and Louisiana.

“This is TAMKO’s way of using our resources to help fight childhood cancer,” said David Humphreys, TAMKO president and CEO. “We love how collaborative these projects are and that so many builders and suppliers get to add their support to an organization as established and well-respected as St. Jude.”

Covington Homes’ repeated partnership with St. Jude earned the company the honored title of St. Jude’s “Builder of the Year” in 2018. Covington has a long-term commitment to partner with St. Jude as the official Dream Home builder of Southern Colorado, and over the last several years, the Covington Home projects have helped raise more than $2.7 million to fight childhood cancer.

“For the third year in a row Covington Homes and our trade partners have delivered a zero cost home – which means that 100 percent of ticket sales go directly to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” said Grace Covington, owner of Covington Homes. “The entire Covington Homes Team is truly honored to help give back in such a meaningful and impactful way. Our team has been blessed with this amazing opportunity to help fight childhood cancer and help save the lives of thousands of children each year.”
