NEWTOWN, Mass. — METALCON 2019 will showcase the latest in construction technology with a new technology hub known as CONTECH.
METALCON, the metal construction industry’s largest international event for metal construction products, technologies and solutions, will feature everything from virtual reality to artificial intelligence and robotics. This year’s conference and tradeshow will be held in Pittsburgh from Oct. 16 to 18.
Sponsored by U.S. Steel, CONTECH will provide attendees access to the industry’s hottest technology trends with an interactive and innovative hub showcasing wearable monitoring technology, wireless scanners, drones, tracking, costing and estimating software.
“We are excited to debut CONTECH, our new construction technology hub this year where attendees can learn how technology is changing the way we design and build,” says Claire Kilcoyne, METALCON Show Director.
Technology companies expected to exhibit the latest products and solutions include the Glimpse Group, ARKTEK3D, Revizto, NoteVault, Geomni, The Blue Book Building & Construction Network, Virtuele, Solutions Huddle, Hammett Technologies, and 360Connect.
In addition, industry experts from Geomni, Solution Huddle and Hammett Technologies will present educational sessions on these cutting-edge products and the latest trends in construction technology.
The Roofing Technology Think Tank (RT3) will also hold a Contractor to Contractor Technology Innovation Panel at 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 16 during METALCON. During the panel, contractors will share their successes and challenges with implementing technology into sales and marketing, operations, back office, health and safety and recruiting.
