Pure Safety Group has issued a stop-use and recall on Guardian Fall Protection Self-Retracting Lifelines for leading edge applications (SRL-LE).
The recall is specifically for Guardian’s SRL-LE models that utilize a stainless-steel or web lifeline. A small number of SRLs with steel or web lifelines were identified as non-compliant with ANSI Z359.14-14 and must be removed from service immediately.
Pure Safety Group states that, under certain circumstances, the stainless-steel or web lifeline may not perform to industry standards in leading edge applications, which could result in serious injury or death.
As of Dec. 26, there have been no reported accidents or injuries related to this recall. However, to avoid any potential incidents, all affected models must be immediately returned to Pure Safety Group for replacement. These replacements will be made with an equivalent model at no charge.
To determine if a product needs to be returned, locate the part number on the top of the rear information label of the unit. The part numbers affected include:
Halo (formerly Edge) SRLs

- #10933
- #10936
Diablo (formerly Daytona) SRLs
- #10979
- #10980

Product owners are instructed not to return a product until they obtain a return authorization number first. Contact Pure Safety Group at 800-466-6385 or email recall@puresafetygroup.com to coordinate the return and replacement of an affected SRL-LE.
