SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Restoration Builders Inc. announced that it has officially acquired Alden Roofing Inc., headquartered in Pflugerville, Texas as part of its ongoing consolidation strategy.

The owners of Alden Roofing, Melanie and Joshua Knox, met while working for the same roofing company. In 2006, Melanie became pregnant with the couple's first child. Her lack of health insurance coverage sparked the desire to venture out on her own.

Together, the Alden family and Joshua formed Alden Roofing. When the Alden family decided to step down from their roles at the company, Josh and Melanie saw an opportunity, and Melanie became the majority owner. In the 10 years since taking over, the Knoxes have grown their team to 40 associates.

“Seasonal storms in Texas can cause immense damage and disruption, and this team has a proven ability to overcome adversity through creative problem solving. I'm confident they'll make a tremendous contribution to our network's success,” Lorenz said.

Melanie oversees corporate operations, drawing on 17 years of administrative and management experience in the construction and legal fields. She serves on the board of directors for the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas and as president of the Central Texas Roofing Contractors Association.

Joshua’s background in roofing installation and sales made him the perfect candidate to oversee the production and sales departments. He has served as a board member of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas.

Restoration Builders was established in 2017 in response to the growth of the $210-billion-plus insurance restoration industry. The U.S.-based company been focused on developing a nationwide network of licensed contractors and other industry-related companies. Early revenue projection for 2020 is anticipated to exceed $100 million.

Alden Roofing is the latest roofing company to join the ranks of Restoration Builders, which has acquired more than 15 companies. In the last six months alone, it has acquired Renown Roofing and Construction Inc., Aspenmark Roofing & Solar, and AVCO Roofing, all of Dallas; and Chicago-based NRC Roofing and Restoration LLC.
