FORT WORTH, Texas — The North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA) announces this year’s 2020 annual award winners of its Industry Leader of the Year, Associate of the Year and Golden Hammer Awards.

During the 20th Anniversary NTRCA Awards Banquet, held Feb. 22 at Live! by Lowes in Arlington, Texas, the winners of the annual “Industry Leader of the Year” award and the “Associate of the Year” award were announced and recognized for their significant contributions to the North Texas roofing industry. Past winners meet annually to choose each year’s new honorees.

The "Industry Leader of the Year" honor, the association's most prestigious recognition, was awarded to Karen Vermaire Fox, longtime executive director of NTRCA. The "Associate of the Year" honor was awarded to Bo Jackson of Owens Corning.

NTRCA Golden Hammer Award winners were also recognized during the event. NTRCA’s annual Golden Hammer Awards acknowledge outstanding roofing projects completed during the prior year. Entries are judged each year on logistical challenges, quality workmanship, uniqueness, difficulty, time constraints, innovative solutions and safety challenges.

Contractors selected to win this year’s Golden Hammer Award for Community Service projects were: Brettco Roofing for its 10,000 Mustard Seeds for Wilson Adams Project (with support from Atlas Roofing, Builders First Resource and Lomanco); Elite Roofing and Home Restoration for its Steve’s Patio Project; PROCO Roofing & Construction for its Calgary Road Project (with support from ABC Supply) and Texas Roof Management for its Heavenly Care Child Development Center Project (with support from Beacon Roofing Supply).

Commercial contractors winning a Golden Hammer Award this year were: Ramon Roofing for its Craig Ranch Townhomes Project (with support from Spec Building Materials); Supreme Roofing for the Hurst City Hall Roof Replacements Project (with support from ABC Supply and The Conley Group, an ABBAE Company); and Texas Roof Management for The Winn Science Center at St. Mark’s School of Texas Project.

Residential contractors selected to receive a Golden Hammer Award this year were: PROCO Roofing & Construction for the Bayne Road Project (with support from ABC Supply); Ramon Roofing for its Old Gate Road Project (with support from Boral and Southern Shingles); and Texcity Roofing for its McKinney Project (with support from Owens Corning and Southern Shingles).

Contractors selected to receive a Golden Hammer Award this year in the metal/tile roofing category were: CIM Roofing, Inc. for the Eastlake High School SSMR Reroof Project (with support from McElroy Metals); Classic Superoof LLC for its Viridian Park Lane Project (with support from IB Roof Systems); and K-Post Roofing & Waterproofing for its Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth Tile Replacement Project (with support from Decra Roofing Systems).

The Golden Hammer Award winner in the green roofing category was: Arrington Roofing for its Rebel Athletic TPO Roof & Solar Platform Project (with support from Beacon Roofing Supply and GAF).
