Cotney provides advice on the challenges in handling workers' compensation, applying for the paycheck protection program and dealing with viability. He said there may be an onslaught of litigation against contractors as things begin to settle, so contractors should prepare wisely.

"Think about stuff that you can do both from a practice standpoint dealing with your employees and customers from a safety standpoint and a contractual standpoint," Cotney said.
