Frontline workers sacrificing their health and safety need a warm and leak-free place to call home, which is why B&M Roofing in Buda, Texas is giving one such worker that peace of mind.
The roofing contractor is partnering with Travis Roofing Supply and GAF to donate a free roof to a deserving frontline medical or first responder worker. The donation will include labor, material, and a full GAF Systems Plus Weather Stopper warranty.
In a video, Megan and Brian Zembik of B&M Roofing explain that they are a “small business with a big heart” for the communities they serve, and have been in awe of the essential workers who have tirelessly served to protect others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This hits close to home for both of us — Megan’s mom, two of my sisters are all nurses,” said Brian. “My sister in Arizona is on the COVID-19 team, so she’s got direct exposure daily.”
The roof will be given to a medical, law enforcement, fire or EMT worker living in the Central Texas area. Nominations are being accepted until May 15 on the B&M Roofing website.
This isn’t the first time B&M Roofing has worked to support its community. In November, the roofing contractor held its first-ever Give Thanks – Give Food challenge to help food insecure families.
Other roofing contractors have also shown their support for their communities during these unparalleled times. Black Diamond Roofing & Construction in Richland, Wash. held a roof giveaway for a local healthcare worker, while in Allenton, Mich., The Roof Dr. is providing free emergency repairs for residents. In Sidney, N.Y., Alpine Metal Roofing went to work putting together reusable medical masks for local hospitals.
