The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) is grieving alongside the family of John Cleveland (J.C.) Robinson III, president of Frye Roofing Inc. Bluefield, W. Va., who passed away on Sept. 16 due to COVID-19.
According to an article from the NRCA, Robinson, 67, studied business at the University of Alabama and spent his career in the construction industry. He served as president of Frye Roofing for almost 20 years.
Robinson was a longtime member of the NRCA, serving on multiple committees. He was a director from 2007 to 2010 and from 2011 to 2014. He was chairman of the NRCA’s Safety Manual Committee from 2011 to 2012 and served on the Affiliate Relations, Contractor Management , Health and Safety, and NRCA University Operations committees, among others.
Robinson's commitment to the industry extended beyond the NRCA. He also served as president of the Virginia Association of Roofing Professionals.
Robinson is survived by his wife of nearly 42 years, two children, and two grandsons. He also is survived by his mother-in-law, aunt, and his cousins.
