RALEIGH, NC — The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) announced the 2021 IIBEC Virtual Spring Symposium to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 4-27. Each day will feature a technical presentation, a follow-up roundtable discussion, and a trade show hour where attendees will discover the latest technological innovations in the building enclosure industry.
Symposium attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 16 IIBEC Continuing Educational Hours (CEHs) and AIA Learning Units.
The call for presentation proposals is open. Submissions may be made at the IIBEC's website. All submissions are due by Feb. 12. Each submission will earn one IIBEC CEH. If accepted, each presentation will earn an additional two IIBEC CEHs. While there will not be formal proceedings for the symposium, accepted proposals may submit a technical article for consideration to be published in a subsequent issue of IIBEC Interface.
“During these challenging times, one of IIBEC’s goals has been to continue to provide high quality education that is accessible to all IIBEC members,” said Brian Pallasch, executive vice president and CEO at IIBEC. “With the move of our annual convention and trade show to September, we still wanted to be able to hold a symposium this year. Although it will be somewhat different than our typical symposium, we are excited about this new format and offerings.”
