CHICAGO — Following a shift in strategy as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) recently released details on its plans for member-only and full industry events to be held this year and in 2022.
Comprising both virtual and in-person networking and educational opportunities, the organization looks forward to delivering on its value to members and the pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape industry.
PSTC’s inaugural Tape Week event, the only networking event solely for PSA tape professionals, is slated to be held in-person the week of May 3, 2022, at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The educational and networking event, based on the organization’s historically successful Tape Summit, will feature a focus on the building and construction, and automotive industries, as well as emerging markets. Tape Week 2023 will be held at the same location.
PSTC’s 2021 Fall Member Business Meeting, one of two member-only business meetings the organization holds throughout the year, will take place in-person Nov. 9-11 at the Hyatt Coconut Pointe Resort in Bonita Springs.
"This year and beyond, we will be focusing on a number of key strategy areas to continue delivering on the value of being part of PSTC, including: providing regulatory and technical insights, offering new educational and training opportunities, holding virtual and in-person meetings and networking events, identifying current member needs, and realigning to grow our industry," President Joe Tocci said.
A new initiative designed to encourage members to stay connected, network with colleagues and continue utilizing their membership investment, PSTC also launched its new Webinar Series earlier this year on March 10. Complete with free webinars featuring presentations on a variety of important industry-related topics, the initiative has already garnered much attention and attendance from members, and more installments are planned throughout the year with the next one being on May 12.
“While the turbulence of 2020 presented us with unexpected challenges, PSTC evolved to meet them head on, charting a path forward for the future of our industry, the direction of our organization and the recovery of our members,” said Tocci.
PSTC looks forward to what is expected to be a year of opportunity and growth for its members and the industry, as it continuously works to increase the global usage of PSA tape products.
