The Roof Depot Inc. has completed the acquisition of Southernwood Roofing and Siding LLC. With the acquisition, the commercial, residential, siding and gutter company expands into the Mid-Atlantic region. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2012, Southernwood Roofing & Siding is the preferred subcontractor for many of the local, regional, and national builders in the Maryland and Northern Virginia markets. Southernwood also has served local homeowners with roofing, siding, gutters, window and door installations and replacements while building a great reputation in the area. Andy Mudd, the prior owner, is staying on with the company to continue building on the foundation he and his brother, FD, have built over the years.

Roof Depot, a Top 100 roofing contractor, was founded in 1998 and operates across both the Southeast and Southwest U.S. markets with locations in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and Texas. Roof Depot is currently the 24th largest roofing contractor in the country and installs roofing and siding for both commercial and residential owners for their rehab and new construction projects.
