DENVER, Colo — BluSky Restoration Contractors LLC recorded its highest annual charitable giving in 2021 through its BluSky Foundation, with over $661,000 donated to more than 50 nonprofit organizations across the nation.
The firm’s total charitable giving grew 32% from 2020 to 2021 through a variety of large fundraising events and local donations. Large events in Denver, Colo.; St. Louis, and Greensboro, N.C. Each raised over $100,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, ALS research at Washington University School of Medicine, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greensboro.
“Philanthropy and the BluSky Foundation continue to be an integral part of who we are,” said Kent Stemper, BluSky CEO. “We’re fully committed to the children, families and communities that are served by these organizations.”
In addition to monetary contributions, BluSky personnel devoted substantial volunteer hours to nonprofits through its annual Day of Giving. Employees companywide spent the day before Thanksgiving volunteering with 32 charities in their local communities. Among the many diverse activities were preparing and serving meals to hospice patients and in homeless shelters, packaging nonperishable items for families in need, and performing building repairs and upkeep. Combined Day of Giving efforts served an estimated 16,000 people nationwide.
The BluSky Foundation builds on the firm’s vision to not only fix broken buildings, but to restore and rebuild the vital elements of its communities.
“We know how fortunate our company is, and for me, we have a responsibility to give back,” Stemper said.
